I like the 100 Acre Wood's Owl Pooh Bear and the Yogi the Owlbear ones best...
Did you ever see the classic "Monster Manual Comix" by Lore Sjoberg? They seem to have disappeared from the internet, and even from the wayback machine, but if you can ever find it, his explanation of the Owlbear is an all-time classic.
