But laser beams wouldn't really work like they do in this panel from Green Lantern #23 by Robert Venditti, Billy Tan and Rob Hunter, would they...?

I keep trying to make sense of this panel. I suppose if Hal used his "magic wishing ring" to make something similar to a trio fiber optic cable that he could redirect the lasers that way. That doesn't seem to be what he is doing here though.

Obviously the enemy has some kind of gun that shoots energy race cars.
